Dr. Omer K. Masood, M.D.
Dr. Omer Masood a Canadian by birth, Dr. Omer Masood completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Western Ontario prior to his medical school at St. George’s University School of Medicine. He performed his medical residency, chief residency, and gastroenterology fellowship at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, NY. Shortly after graduating, he joined the faculty of Rush-Presbyterian in Skokie, a northern suburb of Chicago where he practiced for three years prior to returning to Long Island. He has been active in training and education of residents and fellow physicians, having served as Associate Residency Program Director at NUMC and as Attending Physician and Assistant Faculty member at RUSH and University of Chicago. Dr. Masood’s clinical interests include therapeutic endoscopy, obscure gastrointestinal bleeding, management of complicated reflux disease, and colon cancer screening. Dr. Masood enjoys engaging in activities that promote well-being on both individual and community levels. He offers lectures on gastrointestinal topics to various audiences.
